Tempe police: Man killed during home invasion
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — A Tempe man is dead after being shot during a home invasion of his family’s residence.
Tempe police Lt. Michael Pooley says 22-year-old Michael Perez was fatally shot as two intruders tried to rob the family Tuesday night.
Pooley says Perez’s wife and their 3-year-old son also were present but were not injured.
Pooley says the suspects aren’t known and haven’t been located.
