Drivers planning to take a trip to grandma’s house this Christmas won’t have to pay as much at the pump as they did the week before.

The statewide average for a tank of gas dropped by 1.5 cents this last week to an average of $3.137, with the nationwide average decreasing 4 cents to $3.212. East Valley motorists saw a dip of 1.2 cents to $3.087, which is slightly less than the average price from the same time last year.

Tucson has the lowest price per gallon at $3.047 while Flagstaff is the most expensive at $3.341 per gallon.
