No. 19 Tennessee used a three-run sixth inning to break open the rubbermatch of a three-game series against No. 24 Arizona State Sunday en rout to a 6-4 victory. After dropping the Friday opener for their first loss of the year, the Vols (14-1) came back to win the final two in Tempe, Ariz.
The Volunteers led off the sixth inning with a hit for the fifth-straight frame as Christin Stewart rolled a double to the left field fence. Nathaniel Maggio followed with his fifth hit in as many at-bats dating back to game two. Arizona State reliever Nick Diamond helped UT with a bases-loaded walk to Nick Senzel to bring home Taylor Smart for a three-run lead.
