NAU has a variety of club sports in just about everything. These clubs are a great way for students to get to know each other and have an opportunity to hang out with people who have similar interests. One of the problems most club teams face, however, is funding. A lot of the equipment, travel expenses and uniforms have to be paid for by the students.

In some cases, club teams travel to different cities and sometimes out of state to compete. In these instances, the students rely on donations and fundraising to reach their goal. For the NAU triathlon club team (the NAU Trijacks), a fundraiser is part of what they will need to fund their trip to the Collegiate Nationals this semester in Tempe.

The event will be held at the popular BTO Self-Serve Yogurt shop on Wednesday, April 3. The goal is to get people in and buying yogurt and other products between the hours of 6 and 10 p.m. The Trijacks club will then get a percentage of BTO’s profit during these hours.

The Trijacks are not the first and will definitely not be the last organization to take advantage of the generous BTO fundraising system. NAU’s club Quidditch and tennis teams have had successful fundraisers at the yogurt shop as well.

If you are looking for a creative (and tasty) way to fundraise for your group, stop by BTO and ask about its program. Also be sure to drop by on April 3 for the Trijacks fundraiser to help get them to nationals.
