PHOENIX — Those who chose to stay in Phoenix for Thanksgiving will be rewarded with beautiful weather on the holiday and into the weekend.

The high for Thursday is forecast to reach 76 degrees with sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. But there will also be wind gusts that could reach 20 mph.

Last year, Phoenicians saw a high of 72 and low of 48 on the holiday.

Friday’s high is expected to reach 78 degrees before dropping to 77 degrees on Saturday and 76 degrees on Sunday.

Lows for the four-day period will hover between 52 and 53 degrees.

People who traveled north for Thanksgiving will get cooler temperatures, but no rain or snow.

The mercury in Flagstaff will hit 43 degrees on Thursday before jumping into the upper 50s during the weekend.

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon will reach 42 degrees, while Sedona will hit 56 degrees.

Prescott and Payson will reach 57 degrees on the holiday.
