TEMPE, AZ - Detectives with the Arizona State University Police Department will determine if criminal charges should be filed against a group of students in a college prank posted on YouTube.
The video was uploaded in December 2011 but just discovered by ASU police last week.
It appears to show a student holding up a fake police badge in front of a dorm-room peephole, while another student shouts “campus police."
The possible charge could be impersonating a police officer, according to police.
The person who posted the video stated the men were trying to scare the student inside the dorm room because he was smoking marijuana.
“ASU police have identified the people in the video and will determine if criminal charges will be pursued or if the case will be referred to the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities,” said Commander Jim Hardina.
